Last day in HH

Saturday was sunny and bright. Our alligator freind was basking in the sun again. There were so many turtles in the same lagoon, we wondered if alligators ate them. If you look close at the picture you can see one on his tail and many in front of him and in water. Guess he was not hungry or they just co-exist. Might be tough to digest that shell.

Day 17

 Today was a nature day outside our condo. This is the same alligator from before, just a little closer. She lives with her mate(the one in the water). He is a couple of feet longer. He caught an animal today, think it was a large bird and me and Mimi watched him eat it. So sad and violent. Then I saw these other creatures in the last picture. They were very gentle, Nice day 72 and sunny in the afternoon.

Day 16

 First thing in the AM on the beach. Is that Lance Armstrong between 2 teenage beauties? The tide is way out, so we had an expressway to ride on. Then on to Sea Pines for a bite to eat at "The Salty Dog" and some sight seeing.

This is a cool looking pirate ship at Harbor Town that gives rides for kids. Quite the name for a boat "Black Dagger"

This is the "Chef" for our supper. Would you eat a meal at a restaurant if you saw the cook in this outfit. Bathing suit and bare chested. Supper was pretty good all things considerd.

The big alligator actually came out of the water today. Looks pretty docile laying there, but you don't want to get too close. Looking at the size of his belly, it looks like he is well fed.

Day 15

Day 14

 Out on a bike ride and had to stop for a snack in the AM. Looks like they covered up something on my right side. Don't know what I was doing.

 Thought Caleb might like yhe 3 turtles on a tree branch. I think they were hiding from the alligators.

This is the daddy alligator in the lagoon next to our condo. We see him and his mate every day from our balcony. Like a bad husband he spends very little time next to his wife. He actually is 8 to 10 feet long if you could see all if he was out of the water.

Day 12

Saw this baby alligator from our bike ride in Port Royal golf course. Next week we hope to see some of his bigger freinds as we go on a ride in Sea Pines. Today is moving day, so probably won't write or take to many pics. We are going to play tennis with the French brother and his wife from the Blufton KH. Have been outside every single day since vacation started. Only one nite of rain since we have been here. Just too nice down here. Another day to enjoy breakfast in the sun on the balcony. Looking forward to doing this at home very soon. By the looks of your weather back home, maybe in March.

Day 9

 Not too much news today. same old sun and playing. Mom wanted you to see the size of the beach here in front of our Condo. A large expressway to play on.

If you look close at this pic you can see a sand bar or something out in the ocean where the waves are braking. Pretty cool on a calm ocean.

A couple of the many ducks that inhabit our lagoon off our balcony. Looks like 2 males and they probably are late for supper and in alot of trouble

Day 8

What do you know? Flowers in February, just like at home. Saw these on our bike ride today. Other than that and tennis nothing special to report. Going to Rosselli's for supper. Pasta I think. Till tomorrow - keep the snow away till we get home, then make it warmer.

Day 7(Feb 6)

.We saw this little guy when we went out to get on our bikes for a ride. We thought Caleb would like him. I kept getting closer and he never moved. I guess he likes people or at least is used to them

Then we went on our ride looking for some more wildlife and look what Mimi found. I don't think he liked Mimi, but she got her hand out just in time. We will look for more Gators and dolphins on our next ride. Miss you guys, but enjoying te weather very much.

Day 6

At HH KH

Morning at KH. Freinds are the same great folks no matter where you go. Many people from north have settled here. Very few natives. 7 different families visiting today. Played tennis in afternoon and then great Super Bowl party with Gobeyn's and Rosselli's in evening.

Day 5

 Day 4 did not have much excitement, so right to Day 5. We arrived in Hilton Head around 12:30PM. I plyed tennis with Lenny, Willy, and a Brother from HH(Jean) a Frenchmen. Mom went for a bike ride and visited with Dawn and Shirley. We met back at Condo for these pics. If you look closely you can see ocean in background. Off to KH in AM, then more tennis, bike riding and Super Bowl. What a life. Miss you all.

Day3

How cool is that, even the chubby guy gets in the picture on a beautiful day. 15 mile bike ride and still upright for the picture lady. Wish you were all here to enjoy great weather. Miss you guys. Off to the meeting tonite. Have to get back on a spiritual routine. That's all till Day 4.

Day2(Feb1)

Arrived at Myrtle Beach about noon. Stopped at KH and saw that meeting was tomorrow at 7:30PM. That is great for us. Judy had to go to the ocean as soon as we got unpacked. Looked very blue, but is probably cool. Took a bike ride and had lunch while we were out. Market Commons(the brewery), my favorite spot to eat(outdoors naturally). Was 71 today, very nice. Judy is transcribing as I type. Making money so I can stay retired. All for now. Till tomorrow......

Day 1(Jan31)

Travel was a piece of cake. Dry roads and sunshine. Arrived in Virginia and it was 68. Naturally mom had to take a bike ride. Found a path by High School and road for around a half hour. That means since this is the last day in January we have ridden our bikes in each month since Jan 2011. On our ride down we called Lennie(not Squigey and Shirley and they were only 8 miles behind us and we met them for breakfast at Country Cupboard(Lewisburg). They pulled in right behind us. If we had planned it we would not have arrived that close together.

Mom is working now, so I will close till tommorrow. Maybe pictures of ocean and MB.
